About The Position

Repair machinery or mechanical equipment. Essential Responsibilities: Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble. Dismantle or partly dismantle machines and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools in scraping and fitting parts. Replace broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock; ordering the production of a replacement part by a machine shop or sending the machine to a machine shop for major repairs; preparing written specifications for major repairs or for the production of parts ordered from machine shops. Reassemble machines and make all necessary adjustments for operation. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years' experience working on industrial equipment and / or three years' doing metal fabrication.
  • Able to obtain and retain a forklift operators license.
  • Valid and current state-issued drivers license.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
  • US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be available to work any shift.
  • Willing to work weekends and other hours as needed.
  • Work on this contract is performed at the Red River Army Depot.
  • Access to the Depot requires all covered individuals to be registered with the United States Selective Service.
