About The Position

Under general supervision, the Machinery Maintenance Mechanic repairs machinery or mechanical/electrical equipment. Work involves most of the following: examining machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose sources of trouble, dismantling or partly dismantling machines and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools in scraping and fitting parts. In general, the work of Machinery Maintenance Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through three years of experience in a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.
Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
Strong communications and interpersonal skills
Ability to work safely and understand all safety requirements and company policy.
Ability to travel to various facilities.
Must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on the specified contract(s).
Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state they reside, have a satisfactory driving record, and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Responsibilities

Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose sources of trouble.
Dismantle or partly dismantle machines and perform repairs using hand tools in scraping and fitting parts.
Interface with customers to maintain a positive working relationship.
Travel to various facilities.
Follow Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements.
