About The Position
As a Machine Operator, you will set up and operate a wide variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of our products. You will work from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by the supervisor to perform production tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalency required
- Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted
- Math skills – ability to complete basic calculations e.g. converting fractions to decimals
- Knowledge of measuring tools such as dial calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.
- Basic PC Skills
- Ability to operate a fork-truck
- Basic mechanical ability to maintain / repair equipment
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of CNC / CAD / CAM (Recommended)
Responsibilities
- Accurately following and interpreting instructions, procedures and drawings
- Setting-up, operating and maintaining equipment used in the production of the company's product in order to carry out manufacturing processes
- Verifying quality of product at the required intervals and verify accuracy of all work
- May be responsible for in-process inspections
- Checking and inspecting operation results against predetermined tolerances
