About The Position
Savannah Technical College is seeking a Machine & Tool/CNC Technology program instructor. The instructor is responsible for teaching students in classroom and lab environments as well as advising students and performing various departmental and school wide assignments. The position offers a flexible work schedule with hours to include day/evening classes.
Requirements
- Successful candidate will have either an Associates Degree or Diploma in Machine & Tool with either CNC background or the ability to quickly achieve CNC credentials; or a CNC degree/diploma but with actual and verifiable work experience in Machine & Tool or a separate credential in Machine & Tool.
- Must have five (5) years of direct work experience within the past seven (7) years.
- Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills along with computer skills.
- All male applicants between the ages of 18 and 26 years of age must present proof of Selective Service Registration.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching experience at a postsecondary institution is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment and retention of students.
- Daily teaching duties include class lecture, lesson planning, and classroom management.
- Reporting inventory.
- School-wide planning.
- Providing registration assistance.
- Working on projects with other instructional areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Instruction.
