About The Position
We are seeking a qualified Machine Tool Builder who will be responsible for fitting and assembling components according to assembly drawings and engineering manuals for immediate opening with our growing team. Requirements
- Understanding of mechanical systems, assembly processes, and safety protocols
- 3-5 years of previous experience in machine assembly or related mechanical system assembly
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Experience with basic hand tools, cutoff saws, grinders, mills, lathes and sanding equipment
- Experience with use of Bridgeport and surface grinder
- Ability to align spindles and fixtures
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to effectively communicate and resolve issues
- Precision minded with attention to detail
- Basic math and measurement skills, metric and inch units
Nice To Haves
- Ability to read fluid and pneumatic schematics
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine procedures and requirements
- Assemble mechanical systems according to blueprints and specifications
- Fit and align components using hand and power tools
- Assess and verify that all parts conform to specifications and quality standards using measuring tools such as calipers and gauges
- Work cohesively with engineering and other technical team members
