About The Position

Systex Products Corporation (SPC), Dept. 349/251 is seeking a Machine Technician for the 2nd shift, with core hours from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. A resume is required for consideration. This role involves maintaining injection molds and stamping dies according to TPM standards, identifying and resolving die problems through root cause analysis, verifying product quality, and leading TPM activities. On-the-job training will be provided, and no previous Tool & Die experience is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be a current Lead Associate II (L2) or have the equivalent experience (i.e. efficient machine operation, performing preventative maintenance, applying LOTO, 3S and 5S in daily activities, deep understanding of product quality and documentation, experience in Kaizen and Practical Problem Solving).
  • Must have successfully completed both portions of the Machine Technician Assessment.
  • Must be able to read and interpret manuals and perform basic math with a calculator.
  • Must be able to read, compute, interpret, construct and maintain charts, records, log books and graphs.
  • Must demonstrate proper use of basic hand tools and measurement devices.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must have general knowledge of machine repair, safety procedures and DMMI policies and standards including the HR Policy and Procedures manual, TS16949 and ISO14000.
  • More than 2 years in current position unless promotable
  • Last Performance Appraisal Meets or Better
  • No Active Written Discipline
  • Must be able to pass DENSO Job Specific Communication Assessment
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position

Nice To Haves

  • Experience maintaining injection molds and stamping dies is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on injection molds and stamping dies following TPM standards.
  • Identify abnormal die conditions, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Verify product quality and document findings in logs, charts, and reports.
  • Lead TPM activities, track performance metrics, and train associates on TPM methods.
  • Apply LOTO procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Utilize 3S/5S principles to organize work areas and improve efficiency.
  • Execute minor repairs such as flash removal and damage remediation.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, log books, and graphical data.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on Kaizen and practical problem‑solving projects.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest countermeasures.
