About The Position

As a fully competent Machine Technician II, the Machine Technician II will operate blow-mold, grinders, trimmer machines and conveyor systems. This role is responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line. The Machine Technician II is also responsible for following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices. In addition to Machine Operator responsibilities, the Machine Technician II role will include demonstrating mastery of entry-level Machine Operator skills and the ability to teach Level-1 Machine Operator skills, adherence to quality control and blow mold process procedures, mechanical abilities to troubleshoot and resolve process issues, and working knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures. The role involves demonstrating basic Machine Operator skills by maintaining critical processing outputs such as adjusting parisons, tail adjustments, regrind levels, weights controls and other operator required adjustments. The technician will run two lines consistently, repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines, and assist with preventive maintenance, mold, neck and blow pin and other mechanical changes. They will troubleshoot and resolve process problems, operate on multiple platforms, be cross-functional, train entry-level Machine Operators, and shadow Machine Operators. Duties may differentiate by plant based on equipment and plant design. The technician can efficiently change colors without excessive product loss. They receive instructions on specific job tasks by Lead Operator or Supervisor, with assistance furnished on unusual problems and work reviewed for application of sound professional judgment. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Requirements

Intermediate mathematical skills.
Intermediate computer experience.
Three plus years’ equivalent machine operator experience.
Completion of Altium Machine Technician Level II training.
