About The Position

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex as a priority. External candidates are considered post internal applicant review. Current team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. Operation of production equipment in all departments to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency. Responsible for basic tear down, setup, and changeover; Troubleshoot/Optimize the performance of the equipment. Diagnosing, correcting, and facilitating the resolution of all equipment issues on their machine. Completion of required basic operational checks, documenting system performance, production, and downtime in Tyson management systems (SAP), and the creation of maintenance notifications as needed. May also be responsible for janitorial duties and any other assignments given by management.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must be able to input daily information into the SAP maintenance system.
  • Have the ability to troubleshoot, maintain, & adjust a complex series of equipment.
  • Ability to read equipment manuals and troubleshooting charts.
  • Work in a cold & damp or hot & humid environment ranging from -10 to 100 degrees, for long periods, on slippery walking surfaces.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, reach, bend, pull & climb to troubleshoot and adjust various parts of the system.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must abide by all company safety policies, food safety guidelines, and core safety mandates.
  • Must become lockout/tag out certified. (Training will be provided.)
