About The Position

The Machine Specialist assists production through the effective use of electrical/mechanical equipment. This role is responsible for the set up and minor maintenance of the over wrap and L’ seal machine used in packaging finished products. The Specialist will operate the machinery to produce quality products within established time standards while supporting a team environment. The individual will be trained and qualified by departmental leadership in the operation, cleaning, adjustment, and minor maintenance of the Candy equipment, and will be trained and compliant with Lock-out/Tag-out procedures, Hazmat and allergen policies.

Requirements

• Performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and movement of whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling of materials, and lifting more than 30 pounds.
• Working near moving mechanical parts.
• Working in dust, noise, and varied temperatures (65˚- 95˚), elevation up to 30 ft., and tight spaces.
• Following Bakery Candy Kitchen Food Safety, Dress Code and Sanitation requirements.
• Flexibility to schedule changes to include weekend hours.
• Honest and respectful communication.
• Compliance with company attendance standards.
