About The Position

The Machine Shop Support position is responsible for ensuring that components meet product and customer design specifications through quality inspections, order fulfillment, and equipment operation. This role requires a strong emphasis on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. The position involves operating CNC and manual machining equipment, performing basic machine maintenance, and cross-training on various machines within the machine shop. The goal is to meet delivery schedules and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to read and follow instructions on manufacturing orders and blueprints.
Proficiency in using precision measurement devices for quality inspections.
Ability to set up and run equipment.
Understanding of assembly and packaging specifications.
Ability to operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
Capability to perform basic machine maintenance.
Knowledge of 5S, QRM, and safety principles.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to meet delivery schedules and production goals.
Willingness to cross-train on various machines and equipment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in deburring, tumbling, packing, assembly, punching, and bending.

Responsibilities

Ensure safety is the number one priority and promote a safe work environment.
Read and follow instructions on manufacturing orders and blueprints to ensure components meet specifications.
Perform quality inspections using precision measurement devices.
Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders by reviewing manufacturing orders and verifying specifications.
Ensure all quality practices are followed.
Set up and run equipment to make modifications to aluminum parts.
Inspect parts to ensure they meet customer quality specifications, including proper deburring and removal of nylon residue.
Assemble parts according to customer specifications.
Accurately punch and stamp parts according to customer specifications.
Package orders based on customer specifications.
Meet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfaction.
Operate CNC machines as needed and perform all tasks safely and responsibly.
Provide machine shop support, including deburring, tumbling, packing, assembly, punching, and bending.
Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning chips and monitoring coolant levels.
Follow company initiatives in 5S, quick-response-manufacturing (QRM), and safety.
Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, and other shifts.
Maintain department and company performance and production goals.
Operate manual machining equipment as needed.
Cross-train within the machine shop to learn and develop skills on a variety of machines and equipment.
Perform all other related assignments as required.
