About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting machine shop operations, ensuring components meet product and customer design specifications, and maintaining quality standards. The role involves operating CNC and manual machining equipment, performing quality inspections, and assisting with various machine shop tasks to meet delivery schedules and production goals.

Requirements

• 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to read and follow instructions on manufacturing orders and blueprints.
• Ability to perform quality inspections using precision measurement devices.
• Ability to set up and run equipment.
• Ability to ensure proper deburring and check for nylon residue on parts.
• Ability to assemble parts according to customer specifications.
• Ability to punch and stamp parts according to customer specifications.
• Ability to package orders based on customer specifications.
• Ability to meet delivery schedules.
• Ability to operate CNC machines.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance.
• Ability to follow company initiatives in 5S, QRM, and safety.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to maintain department and company performance and production goals.
• Ability to operate manual machining equipment.
• Willingness to cross-train within the machine shop.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the number one priority and promote a safe work environment.
• Read and follow instructions on manufacturing orders and blueprints.
• Perform quality inspections using precision measurement devices.
• Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders, including reviewing manufacturing orders, ensuring quality practices, setting up and running equipment, inspecting parts, ensuring proper deburring, checking for nylon residue, assembling parts, punching and stamping parts, and packaging orders.
• Meet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfaction.
• Operate CNC machines as needed in a safe and responsible manner.
• Provide machine shop support, including deburring, tumbling, packing, assembly, punching, and bending.
• Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning chips and monitoring coolant levels.
• Follow company initiatives in 5S, quick-response-manufacturing (QRM), and safety.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, and other shifts.
• Maintain department and company performance and production goals.
• Operate manual machining equipment as needed.
• Cross train within the machine shop to learn and develop skills on a variety of machines and equipment.
• Perform other related assignments and special projects as required.
