About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting machine shop operations, ensuring components meet product and customer specifications, and maintaining a safe work environment. The position involves operating machinery, performing quality inspections, assembling parts, and meeting delivery schedules. The individual will also be involved in basic machine maintenance and cross-training within the machine shop.

Requirements

• 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow instructions on manufacturing orders and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement devices for quality inspections.
• Ability to set up and run equipment for modifications to parts.
• Knowledge of proper deburring techniques.
• Ability to ensure parts are assembled according to customer specifications.
• Ability to punch and stamp parts according to customer specifications.
• Ability to package orders based on customer specifications.
• Ability to operate CNC machines.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to maintain performance and production goals.
• Ability to operate manual machining equipment.
• Willingness to cross-train within the machine shop.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the number one priority and promote a safe work environment.
• Read and follow instructions on manufacturing orders and blueprints.
• Perform quality inspections using precision measurement devices.
• Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders, including reviewing manufacturing orders, ensuring quality practices, setting up and running equipment, inspecting parts, ensuring proper deburring, checking for nylon residue, assembling parts, punching and stamping parts, and packaging orders.
• Meet delivery schedules.
• Operate CNC machines as needed in a safe and responsible manner.
• Provide machine shop support, including deburring, tumbling, packing, assembly, punching, and bending.
• Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning chips and monitoring coolant levels.
• Follow company initiatives in 5S, quick-response-manufacturing (QRM), and safety.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, and other shifts.
• Maintain department and company performance and production goals.
• Operate manual machining equipment as needed.
• Cross train within the machine shop to learn and develop skills on a variety of machines and equipment.
• Perform all other related assignments as required.
