About The Position

The Machine Shop Support position is responsible for ensuring that components meet product and customer design specifications through quality inspections, order fulfillment, and equipment operation. This role involves working with manufacturing orders, blueprints, and precision measurement devices to guarantee parts meet all quality standards. The position also includes performing basic machine maintenance, adhering to company initiatives like 5S and QRM, and cross-training within the machine shop.

Requirements

• 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is always the number one priority and promote a safe work environment.
• Read and follow instructions on manufacturing orders and blueprints.
• Perform quality inspections using precision measurement devices.
• Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders by reviewing manufacturing orders.
• Ensure all quality practices are being followed.
• Set up and run equipment to make modifications to aluminum parts.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet customer quality specifications.
• Ensure proper deburring and that no burrs or sharp edges are on any parts.
• Inspect parts to ensure no nylon residue is left after running through equipment.
• Ensure parts are assembled according to customer specifications.
• Accurately punch and stamp parts according to customer specifications.
• Package orders based on customer specifications.
• Meet delivery schedules.
• Operate CNC machines as needed and perform all tasks safely.
• Provide machine shop support, including deburring, tumbling, packing, assembly, punching, and bending.
• Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning chips and monitoring coolant levels.
• Follow all company initiatives in 5S, QRM, and safety.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, and other shifts.
• Maintain department and company performance and production goals.
• Operate manual machining equipment as needed.
• Cross train within the machine shop to learn and develop skills on a variety of machines and equipment.
• Perform all other related assignments as required.
