The Machine Shop Supervisor (Night Shift) is responsible for ensuring CNC machining meets schedule and technical specifications on the night shift. This is accomplished through assigning jobs based on the production plan and employee skill level, and ensuring material flows from one operation to one another with minimal waiting. The Production Supervisor is responsible to engage night shift machinists, clear roadblocks, troubleshoot difficult machining problems and provide guidance on CNC machine setup and operation. The Production Supervisor is also responsible for fostering and leading continuous improvement on the night shift, as well as developing the team through hiring, training and holding employees accountable to high productivity and quality standards. The night shift supervisor may, at times, run CNC machines directly to supplement production capacity or help cover employee absences.
