The chosen candidate will be responsible for operating machines within a designated work cell. Hours: Monday – Thursday from 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM Machine Shop Operator – 2nd Shift Machine operators at Flexco can expect a starting hourly compensation of between $21.00 and $26.00 per hour, or more, depending on skills, education and experience.

Requirements

A high school diploma
0-2 years of experience with equipment such as: punch presses, cut off saws and drill presses
Ability to read blueprints
Must be able to work with micrometers, calipers, height indicators and other measuring equipment.
Basic Computer Skills. Basic competency of MS Office or related products.
Mechanical abilities are a must
Ability to Lift 45 pounds, floor to waist
Ability to Stand for an 8 hour shift
Ability to Lift 50 lbs. floor to waist
Ability to Stand all day
Ability to Push/ Pull maximum of 200 lbs. 50 ft.
Ability to perform Trunk Rotation 45 degrees from midline both directions
Ability to Reach less than 18 inches from midline both directions

Nice To Haves

Any education or training in metals machining and resistance welding would be a huge plus
Obtain a forklift and/or overhead crane license

Responsibilities

Set up and operate production machines to perform a variety of repetitive processes such as drilling, cut-off, punching, forming, burring, deburring, and tumbling.
Responsible for making quality parts that may have close tolerances
Perform daily/weekly maintenance on production machines.
Responsible for inventory accuracy.
Assist with product assemblies as needed.
Participate in Continuous Improvement and Suggestion System as required. Maintain high level of WPO (Workplace Organization).
