Requirements
- Direct hands-on CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with HAAS CNC mills and lathes, including UMC and VF series equipment
- CNC programming knowledge and G-Code proficiency
- Experience troubleshooting machining, tooling, setup, and process issues
- Prior leadership or management experience within a machine shop or CNC manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling selection, tolerancing, and machining principles
- Proven ability to improve operational performance, efficiency, and workflow
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily machine shop operations while leading machinists, machine operators, and support personnel to achieve production, quality, and delivery goals.
- Lead daily CNC machining operations accross mill, lathes and secondary processes
- Provide hands-on technical support for set up, tooling, troubleshooting and machining challenges
- Drive on-time delivery, throughput, efficiency and scrap reduction initiatives
- Optimize machine utilization, labor allocation and workflow performance
- Support CNC programming improvements and cycle time optimization
- Lead and develop machinists and operators through coaching, accountability and collaboration
- Analyze production and quality data to identify improvement opportunities
- Implement Lean and continuous improvment initiatives
- Maintain high standards for workplace safety, quality, and operational discipline
- Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Safety, and Leadership teams
