About The Position

The Machine Shop Maintenance Technician/Electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of machines and equipment, troubleshooting and repairing various equipment and machines, balancing workload for downtime on equipment, working with vendors for parts and repairs, and maintaining and troubleshooting facility systems. This role involves daily preventative maintenance on all machines, operating equipment and machines, maintaining a safe and clean working area, and using CMMS maintenance software for work requests and documentation. The position also includes performing electrical work such as connecting machines and working with 480/240/120V and 24VDC wiring, as well as general facilities maintenance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in industrial maintenance, machine maintenance, or electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment documentation.
  • Strong computer and communication skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance software systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment to minimize downtime and support operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Ability to utilize CMMS software to document work orders, preventive maintenance activities, and equipment history.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience maintaining and repairing CNC machines, manual lathes, mills, and industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience working with electrical systems including 480V, 240V, 120V, and 24VDC controls and wiring.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting, servo motors, drives, and industrial automation systems.
  • Experience installing EMT conduit and electrical distribution systems.
  • Technical training, certification, or degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or related field.
