About The Position

PIVOT POINT INC. a manufacturer of non-threaded fasteners located in Hustisford, WI is seeking qualified candidates to fill a 1st Shift Secondaries Department Machine Set-Up Operator with Assembly. This is a full-time, 1st shift position, Monday through Thursday from 4 am to 2:30 pm, with overtime as needed. The role requires machine set-up experience, with the ideal candidate possessing 2+ years of recent experience in both machine setups and assembly within a manufacturing environment. Experience with metal is preferred. The position involves setting up various pneumatic and hydraulic presses and assembling metal fastener parts according to blueprints and shop orders, ensuring dimensions and tolerances are met. This includes manually and mechanically assembling pins, lanyards, rings, or other metal parts. The operator will also be responsible for operating machines safely, maintaining production rates, reading simple blueprints and QC sheets, and engaging in excellent housekeeping and safety practices. The higher starting pay is contingent upon meeting all required qualifications. The company is looking for candidates with a solid, long-term, consistent work history.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of recent experience with machine setups AND assembly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity with small parts.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, depending on assigned machine.
  • Ability to frequently lift/move 10 pounds, occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

  • Set up various pneumatic and hydraulic presses.
