The Machine Repair Supervisor is accountable for supervising hourly personnel in all phases of machine repair, maintenance, installation, and rebuilds. The Machine Repair Supervisor will plan department work schedules and direct assignments of personnel and equipment. They will lead, coach, and develop Machine Repair mechanics, apprentices, and other assigned support personnel. This role involves partnering with Production, Engineering, Mold Repair, Mold Control, and other plant teams to troubleshoot issues and improve machine performance. The supervisor will analyze operations and make recommendations relative to changes in organization, personnel, equipment, department policies, and procedures. Responsibilities include conducting inspections of forming equipment such as feeder mechanisms, bottle machines, and various types of bottle handling equipment, as well as reviewing bottle quality and mold equipment operating data. The role also oversees the Machine Repair Apprentice program and supports training, development, and succession planning within the department. Additionally, the position requires travel to other plants in the Americas North Region to assist with machine installs, conversion changes, and machine audits.
