About The Position

Johanson Technology Inc. (JTI) is looking for Machine Operators for their 2nd shift. The selected candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating manufacturing machines. The work schedule is 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m., with a training schedule of 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. for up to 6 weeks. The hourly rate is based on the specific position, with an additional $.75 for the 2nd shift differential.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Experience in setting up and operating semi-automated machines.
Experience in working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in working in a chemical environment.
Experience using a Microscope.
Basic computer skills.
Good math skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Must understand and follow a set of clear verbal and/or written procedures without deviation.
Must adhere to a provided work schedule to meet a set of qualitative production standards.
Interact with co-workers to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

Setting up and operating manufacturing machines.
Stacking sheets of dielectric material according to program instructions and build-up design.
Reading travelers to ensure correct build-up design and dielectric type.
Reading and locating program files and recording data in SPC.
Inspecting stacked bars through a microscope.
Applying end-bands to chip capacitors.
Ensuring the quality of the machine set-up and ink management.
Using the correct program based on the size of the parts.
Loading chips onto a plate and pressing them into the plate.
Dipping the plate into termination ink and placing it into the drying oven.
Loading and unloading the termination drying oven.
Ensuring the quality of prints produced.
Reading travelers to ensure the correct ink, screens, dielectric type tape, and tape thickness are used.
Properly configuring and orienting tooling to support consistent, high-quality production by aligning multiple screens.
Performing first article inspection by conducting multiple tests before starting lots to be printed.
Working with chemicals used for screen cleaning.
Wearing a full mask respirator when preparing mixing ingredients.
Weighing materials and chemicals on scales up to 400 pounds according to formulation sheets.
Using a zahn cup, specific gravity cup, and other analytic equipment.
Loading mills and setting timers per specification.
Communicating with the engineering department on a daily basis.
Assisting in cleaning up solvent or material spills.
