About The Position

Join our growing manufacturing team as a Machine Operator in 2nd Ops-Rotating Shift (1st and 2nd Shift) focused on grinding, annealing, planing, saw cutting and value-added processing of plastic stock shapes. You’ll work with specialized equipment like centerless grinders, annealing ovens, a plate planer, a variety of saws and precision measuring tools to ensure products meet exact specifications. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a focus on safety and quality.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to lift and move materials throughout the shift
Forklift experience (stand-up and walk-behind) – OSHA certification a plus
Willingness to follow all safety protocols and quality standards
Ability to work Rotating Shifts 7:00 AM-3:00 PM/3:00 PM-11:00 PM

Nice To Haves

3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or machine operation
Experience with centerless grinding and/or industrial saws
Familiarity with plastic or polymer materials
Knowledge of barcoding systems or digital reporting tools

Responsibilities

Set up and operate centerless grinders
Load/unload materials into air and nitrogen annealing ovens
Hand-feed grinders and planer using in-feed tables
Measure rods pre- and post-grind to within 0.0005” tolerance
Program and adjust lay-line printing equipment
Load/unload and select correct annealing cycles for different materials and shapes in annealing ovens
Set up and make saw cuts on a variety of industrial saws
Perform basic machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and other tasks and duties as assigned.
