About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for making batter for different products and filling breading machines with the correct ingredients. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The operator must follow safety procedures, quality standards, and complete necessary paperwork.

Must be able to report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay.
Must use proper lifting techniques.
Must use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift).
Must use personal assistance (buddy).
Must use handrails.
Must use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

Use Product Vision specs to identify correct materials for the day's product.
Open bags of dry batter mix (up to 50 pounds) and mix ingredients to specifications in the Pro-mixer/Wilevco.
Set the viscosity of the Pro-mixer/Wilevco.
Add dry breading to breader machines according to Product Vision specs.
Ensure batter applicators and breading machines are kept filled at all times.
Troubleshoot issues related to breading coverage and mechanical problems.
Assist the line lead in setting belt speeds and feed screw speeds, and connect sprayers for barrier spray.
Measure ingredients and complete all required paperwork.
Scan all materials to and from work orders.
Train backup personnel.
Follow established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Report any quality problems to the Lead/Manager/Supervisor.
Report any machinery problems to the Maintenance Team/Lead.
Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and horseplay.
Use proper lifting techniques.
Utilize mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift) and personal assistance (buddy).
Use handrails.
Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
