Machine Operator - Coating Room
About The Position
Kleen Test Products (KTP), a leading contract manufacturer of household and personal care items, is hiring manufacturing Machine Operators. This role offers stability, growth, and a team that values your contributions. The position involves operating a coating machine, preparing batches, and ensuring continuous operation. It also includes cleaning and sanitizing machines, troubleshooting, making machine adjustments, performing quality checks, documenting results, and completing machine set-ups or changeovers. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area, assisting with waste removal, observing safety and quality procedures, and processing paperwork are also key responsibilities.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field
- Ability to read and follow safety rules, procedures, and technical instructions
- Must be able to complete Forklift certification and a-Scan certification.
- Basic math skills, including converting units (e.g., grams to pounds)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Able to complete reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions in various formats
- Team player who can also work independently

Responsibilities
- Perform coating machine operation, along with the ability to make batches for the coater while maintaining continuous machine operation without interruptions.
- Complete cleaning/sanitization of coating machines according to established guidelines.
- Proficient in routine troubleshooting of above listed machine(s) while maintaining the quality product and reducing waste.
- May be required to make adjustments to machines and material on machines to ensure the proper function of machine.
- Complete quality checks utilizing a ruler or scale.
- Make necessary adjustments (i.e., weights and dimensions) to ensure quality of product.
- Document results accurately and completely.
- Complete set-up or changeover of machines to include loading with components, solution, and packaging materials.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized production line and work area.
- Assist with waste removal from line and/or plant.
- Observe all safety and quality procedures while completing required duties.
- Process all required paperwork accurately and timely.
