About The Position

Cardinal Systems Inc. is a leading manufacturer of galvanized steel walls for in-ground swimming pools, as well as steel steps and benches, aluminum coping, liner track, deck drains, liner bead, and other custom fabrications. The Machine Operator in the Coping department is responsible for fabricating aluminum coping materials into finished products. This role involves using various manual and automated saws, notchers, roll form benders, welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools. A key function is interacting with ERP systems, and all employees are responsible for quality control to ensure the production of high-quality products.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to climb, lift, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
Ability to work at a steady and consistent pace.
Ability to obtain forklift certification.

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience operating a forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

Fabricate aluminum coping materials into finished sellable products.
Use various manual and automated saws, notchers, roll form benders, welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
Interact with ERP systems.
Perform quality control to ensure products meet company standards.
Learn to troubleshoot equipment issues to gain efficiencies and become self-sufficient.
Operate machines at a rate that meets scheduled production requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Perform machine adjustments and setup.
Understand and adhere to the company's work instructions, production standards, safety procedures, quality standards, and SOPs.
Follow Global Shop procedures, including clocking in/out of jobs, daily production and material transfers, checking inventory status, and completing daily tasks.
Maintain a level of quality that meets or exceeds the company standard.
