About The Position

Belden is seeking an experienced machine operator to operate and maintain plastic extruding equipment. The position is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Starting pay is $23 per hour. The role involves setting up and running equipment according to manufacturing specifications, monitoring product attributes and making process adjustments as needed, and completing production documentation. The operator is responsible for safety in their work area and may perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand specifications using a computer system and hard copy.
• Ability to measure product attributes as required by specifications.
• Ability to work as a team player and take a responsible, participatory role.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with plastics, such as plastic extrusion or injection molding, is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow Manufacturing Specifications to determine machine setup, required materials, and production quantity.
• Analyze product attributes and adjust the process as needed to bring products to specification.
• Provide feedback when shop-order instructions need correction.
• Set up and operate auxiliary equipment as required.
• Be responsible for personal and workplace safety.
• Complete required paperwork and production posting accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
