About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for producing product by keeping packaging machines working efficiently and effectively. This role involves operating production equipment to ensure continuous product flow, supporting quality assurance activities, and timely completion of all required production documentation.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior Machine Operator experience.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Read and interpret documents.

Manufacturing Experience in food a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate vertical form or horizontal fill equipment with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) electronics.
Take action necessary to insure continuous product flow.
Assist with troubleshooting system problems.
Complete required QA and production reports.
Communicate clearly with others in processing and support positions.
Safely operate pallet jack to move materials.
Perform area-wide and system cleaning (5s) to meet Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) expectations.
Adhere to all safety, operating, Safe Quality Food (SQF), and GMP procedures/policies.
