About The Position

As a Machine Operator, you play a big part of the team in providing labor, parts, service, and goods to other team members and departments, which is key and very important in the remanufacturing process of transmissions. Your day will be spent operating the Lathe as well as performing a wide variety of duties, along with specific tasks as assigned by manager or supervisor, being helpful, organized, and fulfilling requests to ensure daily demands are met and processes run smoothly within the department.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old
  • Ability to bend, twist, pull & push
  • Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times, and may have to work with chemicals

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least two (2) years experience as a CNC Machinist preferred
  • Knowledge of VMC and HMC
  • Comfortable using a variety of manufacturing tools and maintaining machinery
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to convey ideas and programs
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organized
  • Experience with MS Office suite products
  • Ability to promote and live ETE Values on a daily basis
  • Willingness to learn
  • Employees may occasionally lift and carry materials weighing more than 50 pounds with the assistance of mechanical equipment
  • Employees may occasionally push or pull materials weighing more than 20 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical background
  • Past machine shop and automotive parts experience preferred
  • High school diploma preferred
  • CNC certification very desirable
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus

Responsibilities

  • Working with your hands, multiple types of tools, fixtures, gages and other instruments
