About The Position

The Machine Operator I will assist in the processing of material by preparing, loading, sampling, and unloading the processing machines. This role involves performing basic metrology measurements and inspections, basic machine adjustments, and basic machine performance calculations. The operator must strictly follow written procedures and maintain product and lot identification. They are responsible for timely notification of documentation or procedural errors and providing recommendations for continuous improvement. Accurate record-keeping for work performed is essential for regulatory compliance. The role requires understanding and utilizing measurement instruments to verify work quality and contributing to a professional and respectful work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow written procedures and directions
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with employees and outside organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and create and/or interpret spreadsheets and graphs.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand or walk and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; and is subject to repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Regularly required to handle, while using provided protective equipment, high temperature materials and tools.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Industrial Engineering preferred
  • Experience preferably in the medical device industry
  • HAZMAT training preferred

Responsibilities
