About The Position

For this opening, only internal candidates may apply. The Machine Operator role involves operating modern computer numerical control machines. Depending on your background, you will either fabricate small parts (HAAS Mills and dual spindle lathes) or operate notching saws, horizontal drill machines, or punches. Responsibilities include loading parts/extrusions into the machine and cycling it, verifying dimensions and quantity against supplied paperwork, completing basic edits to machine programs/setups, and monitoring quality and checking for malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.

Requirements

This role is for internal candidates (Solar Innovations Associates) only.
Experience with CNC Machinery is required for experienced positions.
Candidates must be able to read a tape measure and be able to complete basic numerical calculations

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing and/or trade school experience will be considered for entry level roles.
Experience with blueprints is preferred
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Experience with micrometers and calipers preferred
