About The Position

The machine operator is responsible for the day-to-day duties in running equipment to produce quality product, safely and on-time. The working schedule will be 12-hour rotating shifts from 5:00pm – 5:00am with every other weekend scheduled.

Requirements

Mechanical ability or previous machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot.
High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution.
Must be able to pass background check and drug test including medical marijuana.
Ability to stand up to 12 hours per day.
Ability to walk 8-10 hours per day for short distances.
Ability to push/pull up to 66 pounds multiple times per day.
Ability to bend 10-20 times per day.
Ability to squat 20 times per day.
Ability to climb step ladder (4-6 steps) 4-5 times per day.
Ability to reach 10 times per day.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to twist moving reels multiple times per day.
Ability to grasp, manipulate, push/pull 40-50 times per day.
Ability to demonstrate mechanical and computer skills.
Ability to multitask and troubleshoot.
Must be able to work in a High Performing Team Environment with limited supervision.

Nice To Haves

Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Continuously monitoring and maintaining product quality based on established standards including visual and mechanical inspection of product.
Working in a safe manner at all times following all safety policies and procedures.
Performing setups in accordance with established procedure, operating, and loading/unloading equipment.
Working from written and verbal instructions, procedures and work orders.
Maintaining and logging all information required supporting traceability and quality.
Participating in cross-training activities.
Maintaining work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
Performing other duties as required or directed.
