The 2nd Shift Machine Operator plays a critical role in the durable goods manufacturing process by efficiently operating and maintaining various production machinery to ensure high-quality output. This position requires precision and attention to detail to manage assembly lines, press machines, and mold machines, contributing directly to the manufacturing workflow. The operator is responsible for setting up equipment, monitoring machine performance, and making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal production standards. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools such as micrometers and clamp trucks.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor assembly line machinery, including press machines, mold machines, and band saws, to produce components according to specifications.
• Set up and adjust machines using tools such as micrometers and clamps to ensure precision and quality in manufacturing processes.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on production machinery to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Utilize overhead cranes and clamp trucks to safely move heavy materials and components within the production area.
• Conduct deburring and finishing tasks to remove imperfections and prepare parts for the next stage of production.
• Maintain accurate production records and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
