About The Position

Packaging Services Industries, Inc. (PSI) began production in 1976 and has grown to three plants in the Mid-Atlantic region with over 350 employees. PSI Container, located in McAdoo, PA, is a leading manufacturer of corrugated boxes and is seeking Machine Operators to join their team. Machine Operators are responsible for safely setting up and operating machinery to produce specialty products. This is a Full Time, 1st shift position with a core schedule of Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch) and Friday from 6:00 am to 10:00 am. Occasional overtime may be required.

Ability to read a tape measure.
Above average organizational skills and detail orientation.
Ability to enter product specifications into the computers.
Ability to handle physical workload, up to 50 pounds, standing for the majority of the shift.
Strong troubleshooting experience.
Basic math skills required (fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
Willingness to make a commitment of time and effort to become part of a team producing quality corrugated boxes in a safe, drug free environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in operating forklifts in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safe operation of all machinery and adhere to all safety rules and initiatives.
Oversee machine operations to ensure minimal downtime and excellent finished product quality.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
Maintain proper documentation and machine entries for each job.
