About The Position

Operates forming, slitting, die-cutting, and printing equipment to produce finished products that meet manufacturing specifications. The role follows safety procedures and production requirements while minimizing cost and waste. It also supports product quality, equipment upkeep, housekeeping, food safety, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, understand, and comprehend written or oral instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Near and far visual acuity and color vision.
Ability to work with little supervision.
Ability to work a set schedule that includes regular weekend work.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including prolonged standing, occasional walking, twisting, bending or stooping, squatting or kneeling, reaching at or above and below shoulder level, regularly lifting up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lifting or carrying more than 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Follow Huhtamaki safety rules and safe working methods to prevent injury and damage to company property.
Perform work safely and efficiently while minimizing cost and waste.
Perform minor machine and equipment maintenance.
Clear machine jams using safe work procedures.
Lift raw materials as needed to feed equipment.
Inspect products during the forming process and report quality issues to a Supervisor or Team Leader.
Interpret shop packet details and instructions.
Provide relief for other Production Packers and Operators.
Maintain department cleanliness standards and provide plant housekeeping support.
Operate material-handling equipment.
Participate in continuous improvement events.
Participate in AIB Housekeeping and Food Safety Programs.
Provide a Supervisor or Team Leader with data for periodic maintenance work.
