About The Position
The Machine Operator role at Lakeside Book Company involves operating machinery to ensure product is produced to customer requirements. This position focuses on running machines at optimal speeds while maintaining safety and quality standards. The operator will also be responsible for verifying and communicating product and work standards, participating in continuous improvement activities, and working collaboratively within a team environment. Training will be provided to support career advancement.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 20 to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for the entire duration of your shift
- Must be able to achieve productivity rates
- Attention to detail, good communication skills, and comfortable with computer applications
- Ability to use a ruler properly
- Ability to work in teams or alone, ability to motivate other team members
Nice To Haves
- Previous machine experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate the machine and leads the overall product outcome associated with machine
- Ensure that product is produced to customer requirements
- Ensure that machines are running at the best possible speed while not sacrificing safety or quality
- Verify and communicates both product standards and work standards to execute production
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activities that improve the work centers performance
- Work in a team environment and cross-train with others
- Receive training to help advance your career
