About The Position
This position will operate our conveyor belt punching and slitting equipment while performing belt assembly and lacing installation. This role is responsible for producing high-quality conveyor belt products according to customer specifications, maintaining safe operation of machinery, and ensuring finished assemblies meet quality standards.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or assembly experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools
- Ability to read tape measures and perform basic math calculations accurately
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Frequently lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive tasks
- Comfortable working around industrial machinery and moving equipment
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Experience with conveyor belt fabrication or industrial belt systems
- Knowledge of belt lacing methods and installation tools
- Experience operating slitting, cutting, or punching equipment
- Basic troubleshooting and machine setup skills
Responsibilities
- Operate conveyor belt punch and slitting machines safely and efficiently
- Measure, cut, slit, and punch conveyor belts to required dimensions and specifications
- Assemble conveyor belt components and install mechanical lacing on belt ends
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and proper alignment
- Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and basic drawings
- Set up machines, adjust tooling, and monitor machine performance during operation
- Use hand tools, measuring tools, and assembly equipment as needed
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following safety and housekeeping standards
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues promptly
- Package and label completed products for shipment or inventory
- Follow company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Work collaboratively with production and warehouse team members to meet production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned
