Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous manufacturing experience required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to all company safety policy procedures and recommendations.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced manufacturing environment with demanding standards for quality and productivity.
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to fill out production sheets, create and interpret schedules, and determine plant procedures.
  • Understanding of manufacturing equipment and process required.
  • Experience with manufacturing/production computerized batching/PLC systems.
  • Forklift training as required by OSHA.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all machinery including dryers/curing equipment, mixing/production systems, and other production equipment of block, bagged goods, or other packaged goods related to the assigned production facility.
  • Set up machines, perform changeovers, align tooling/guides/stops, assemble, and maintain molds, and adjust other production machinery, as required by the production schedule.
  • Perform minor routine and preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Request necessary parts to ensure proper repairs are made.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with repairs, as needed.
  • Assist in reviews of inventory levels and completion of inventory forms for ordering raw materials or adjusting inventory.
  • Measure and maintain quality and accurate weights of goods on the production line.
  • Recognize unsafe or defective products and correct the problems.
  • Read production schedules, work orders, and component drawings to assure product quality.
  • Legibly record production, process monitors, and production tickets.
  • Adhere to Company policies and House Rules including maintaining a clean work area and wearing the proper PPE.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with company employees.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
