Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must have the ability to work alone and in close cooperation with production personnel.
  • Capable of working through complex problems alone or with others to provide logical solutions.
  • The physical demands of this position include the ability to walk and stand on a regular basis.
  • Must frequently climb stairs and ladders.
  • The ability to reach, bend/stoop, crouch, squat, push/pull and manipulate is required.
  • Must occasionally lift product from a variety of positions to 35 pounds.
  • Has an infrequent need to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Vision, hearing, sense of smell, reading and writing are required to perform this job.
  • Speaking is not an essential function of this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months to one year experience in a food manufacturing environment desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Performs tank and piping connections for spray dryers assuring connections for drying products on R3 dryer and for holding tanks, assures connections for CIP of dryers.
  • Performs CIP of spray dryers, dryer holding tanks and line circuits following selection of CIP cycle on FIX screen following established procedure for recipe, cycles and chemicals.
  • Operates spray dryers which include startup and operation of the R3 dryer, floor scales, pumps, motors, chart recorders, and instruments. Monitors and record processing data.
  • Uses established process descriptions and job analysis information for control use of propane or natural gas and powder conveying fans and lines.
  • Operates computer systems including FIX operator interface, Quality system, and Excel for tracking historical trends, CIP system, Dryer recipe selection, Works with SAP from start to finish of the spray dryer batches.
  • Washes and cleans equipment per the sanitation manual. Follows GMP program and rules.
  • Operates forklift.
