About The Position

Milliken & Company is a global manufacturing leader focused on materials science. This position, Associate 2: Splitter, is located at the Hudson Plant and operates a Splitter machine to ensure the production of high-quality fabric. The role involves various tasks related to fabric processing and quality control within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Excellent hand/eye coordination.

Ability to identify and classify defects.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Manufacturing experience.
Textile knitting experience.

Responsibilities

Load Roll onto batching roller using overhead hoist system.
Connect seams from one roll to the next using glue tape and a heating iron.
Place production order on top and bottom roll of fabric post-split.
Set Splitter jaws to the correct setting based on the style being run.
Check tuft heights (left, center, and right) to verify correct jaw setting, repeating this check halfway through the roll.
Identify and mark Knit Machine or Splitter damage with an orange flag within the split roll and notify the supervisor.
Use an automated doffing device to doff split rolls onto carts.
Complete daily production sheets.
Maintain a clean work area and observe all safety rules and procedures.
Perform other related duties as required or directed.
