Machine Operator
About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain machinery used in the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality and safety. The role involves setting up machinery according to specifications; operating equipment safely and efficiently; monitoring operations and inspecting finished products; adjusting machine settings; performing routine maintenance; recording production data; following safety procedures; and collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production goals. The work environment may include varying temperatures, loud noises, or fast-paced operations. The position requires personal protective equipment (PPE), standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40 lbs, and working with machinery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a machine operator or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with production tools and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or manuals, if applicable.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Physical stamina and strength; able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with CNC machines, injection molding, or packaging equipment, depending on industry.
- Forklift certification, if relevant.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface.
Responsibilities
- Set up machines, including calibration and cleaning, according to specifications.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor machine operations and inspect finished products for defects or irregularities.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and report malfunctions.
- Record production data and complete required documentation.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
