About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending industrial production equipment to support safe, efficient, and quality-driven manufacturing processes. This role ensures parts are produced to specification while maintaining productivity and workplace safety. The position is for the Swing Shift, which runs from 2:30pm to 11:00pm, Monday through Friday, and includes a $2.00 shift differential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Basic understanding of measurements and units
  • Mechanical aptitude or prior hands-on equipment experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to remain on feet for long periods in an industrial setting
  • Regular standing and walking for extended periods
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for handling materials and controls
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or climbing
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Must be able to balance and work safely around equipment
  • Close and distance vision
  • Peripheral vision and depth perception
  • Ability to adjust focus

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of machine operation experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to perform standard setups independently the majority of the time

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor machinery and production line equipment
  • Follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures
  • Inspect equipment and product for integrity and report abnormalities
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations and production areas
  • Use material handling equipment such as cranes or forklifts as needed
  • Support packing, handling, and general production tasks as assigned
  • Perform routine quality checks during machine operation
  • Make minor adjustments to maintain product standards
  • Troubleshoot basic process or quality issues
  • Assist with machine setups and learn more advanced setups over time
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision once trained
  • Maintain urgency and attention to detail in a production environment
