About The Position

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. In this position you will: Be responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensure proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed and notify supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Learn new EIM System and use hand held scanners, as well as any other duties assigned. Wear the appropriate (PPE) personal protective equipment which includes steel toed shoes, bump cap and hearing protection. (Team members are encouraged to dress appropriately before they arrive at their workstation).

Requirements

  • Must have no more than 4 attendance points.
  • Must have had no suspensions within the past 12 months.
  • Must have no more than 2 written warnings in the last 12 months.
  • Must have no lateral, downward, or self-disqualification unless for higher classification for the past 6 months.
  • New TM’s still in 30 days of probationary period are not eligible to bid.
  • Probationary TM’s bidding after their first 30 days, must have no more than 2 points.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. necessary when dumping bags of spice.
  • Willing and able to push/pull of 80 lb. film in cart to machine.
  • Use torso flexion of 0-45 degrees is noted while handling spice.
  • Use full bilateral extension of arms necessary.
  • Use bilateral full hand grasp when performing checks for code dates.
  • Stand at all times in all workstations.
  • Use of both hands simultaneously when performing this job.
  • Work in areas that could range between 38 and 50 degrees temperatures and at times conditions could be wet.
