About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator for our 2nd shift, which runs from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some Saturday overtime required. This role offers great benefits, a positive work environment, and competitive pay starting at $19 per hour plus a $1.50 per hour shift differential. The Machine Operator will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area, operating machinery to produce finished goods efficiently and with high quality, and performing various manufacturing tasks to ensure a steady workflow. This includes equipment adjustments, mounting tooling, performing quality checks, maintaining documentation, optimizing machine setup and run times, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring equipment is properly maintained. The role also involves daily and weekly cleanups, identifying and reporting damaged tooling and product safety concerns, and maintaining accurate production reporting. Other duties may be assigned by plant leadership.

Requirements

  • Standing for long periods of time

  • Bending, lifting, twisting on a continuous basis
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs
  • Ability to clearly communicate with material handlers, other employees and managers as needed
  • Attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Ability to clearly differentiate colors

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assisting on multi color flexographic press is preferred
  • Basic Computer skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Responsible for Machine Operation to produce finished goods
  • Operate in their responsibility to maintain efficiency and quality
  • Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using production equipment to ensure steady workflow
  • Perform equipment adjustments
  • Mounting of cutting dies, print plates, and any other tooling required for each job
  • Perform quality checks prior to each job assigned and during the production run
  • Maintain documented checklist for quality checks, ink monitoring, and clean up
  • Keep machine setup and run times at maximum efficiency
  • Help troubleshoot any quality or machine issues as they occur
  • Ensure that the equipment is properly maintained, notifying Maintenance and Supervisors of any issues that occur
  • Perform daily and detailed weekly cleanup in accordance with the cleanup checklist
  • Identify, and report any damaged tooling that needs repair
  • Identify product safety concerns and report them to your supervisor
  • Maintain proper production reporting
  • Other duties as determined by Plant Superintendent, Shift Supervisor or Shift Lead
