Machine Operator
About The Position
The Machine Operator will perform basic set-ups and operate machines in more than one assigned area. This role involves operating complex equipment and machines safely, fitting, aligning, and adjusting machines or assemblies to meet tolerances and product operating requirements. The operator will work from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, and specifications, identifying deviations that can potentially interrupt productivity. Responsibilities also include maintaining logs and other necessary documents, and working with direct supervision. The role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practices
- Ability to operate a variety of machines
- Basic understanding of related mechanics, flow control elements and MRP concepts
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- 1-2+ years manufacturing or related work experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
