This position is responsible for operating assigned machines throughout the plant. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, the ability to follow procedures, and prioritize job flow. The Machine Operator will measure and record data, perform light maintenance on equipment, and use supportive hand tools. They will also read routings, process sheets, and shop orders, cross-train as necessary, and maintain product traceability and accuracy in alloy identification, order documentation, and data entry. The operator must recognize and communicate quality issues, troubleshoot problems, and work with engineering support for process improvements. The role involves frequent stepping up and down, standing for long periods, working in high heat (up to 105°F), and the ability to see small defects. The operator will also be assigned other machines and work as needed, including overtime.
