The Machine Operator is responsible for performing basic set-ups and operating machines in various assigned areas, including complex equipment, in a safe manner. This role involves fitting, aligning, and adjusting machines or assemblies to meet specific tolerances and product operating requirements. The operator will work from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, and specifications, and must be able to identify deviations that could interrupt productivity. Maintaining logs and other necessary documents is also a key part of the role, working under direct supervision. The position requires the ability to recognize deviations from accepted practices, operate a variety of machines, and possess a basic understanding of related mechanics, flow control elements, and MRP concepts. Visual acuity, manual dexterity, and good verbal and written communication skills are also desired.
