About The Position

Solstice Advanced Materials is seeking an entry-level Level 1 Machine Operator at its Fombell, Pennsylvania location. The position provides extensive on-the-job training to develop the skills and knowledge needed to electro-refine titanium sponge into high-purity titanium crystal. Initially, all tasks are performed under direct supervision. The operator works with experienced refining operators until proficient in assigned procedures and may then complete specific tasks independently. The role supports safe, clean, and continuously improving production operations.

Requirements

Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, 3 to 4 days a week, depending on the position, with overtime as needed.
Ability to collaborate with others and work independently once trained.
Ability to troubleshoot where necessary.
Ability to work in hot and cold environments as required.
Ability to work with hazardous chemicals in a production atmosphere, sometimes at elevated heights and high heat.
At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Experience with helium leak testing and/or maintenance work.
Forklift operation experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Creative thinking and idea generation.
Ability to communicate information clearly.

Responsibilities

Learn and demonstrate proficiency in the refining department’s operational procedures.
Work alongside Refining Technician Operators Level II, III, or Lead until proficient enough to complete specific procedures independently.
Understand and follow all job-related safety and emergency procedures.
Support and participate in site safety programs.
Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping while following environmental, health, and safety policies.
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
