About The Position

Cardinal Systems Inc. is a leading manufacturer of galvanized steel walls for in-ground swimming pools, as well as steel steps and benches, aluminum coping, liner track, deck drains, liner bead, and other custom fabrications. The Machine Operator in the Coping department is responsible for fabricating aluminum coping materials into finished products using various manual and automated saws, notchers, roll form benders, welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools. A key function includes interacting with ERP systems. All employees are responsible for quality control to ensure the production of high-quality products.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to climb, lift, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Ability to lift 50 pounds independently
Ability to work at a steady and consistent pace

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing experience
Experience operating a forklift or the ability to obtain certification

Responsibilities

Fabricate aluminum coping materials into finished sellable products.
Use various manual and automated saws, notchers, roll form benders, welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
Interact with ERP systems.
Perform quality control to ensure the best products in the industry.
Troubleshoot equipment issues to gain efficiencies and become self-sufficient.
Understand the process and flow of the department.
Operate machines at a rate that meets scheduled production requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Perform machine adjustments and setup.
Understand the company's work instructions, production standards, safety procedures, quality standards, and SOPs.
Follow Global Shop procedures (clocking in & out of jobs, daily production & material transfers, checking inventory status, and completing daily tasks).
Maintain a level of quality that meets or exceeds the company standard.
