About The Position

This role is responsible for operating machinery, ensuring safety, and maintaining quality standards in a production environment. The Machine Operator will follow instructions, inspect parts, record data, and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Ability to manually load blanks into machines.
• Ability to place parts into inventory baskets.
• Ability to visually inspect parts for defects.
• Ability to perform first piece inspection.
• Ability to record and report production, quality, and inventory information accurately.
• Ability to label and tag parts and baskets accurately.
• Ability to operate Progressive or Transfer Press.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose production issues.
• Punctual and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety for oneself and others.
• Follow written instructions (work standard sheets) to meet production requirements and part specifications.
• Manually load blanks into machines and place parts into inventory baskets.
• Visually inspect components and assemblies for quality defects such as scrap marks, rust, burrs, and lamination.
• Perform first piece inspection of set-up parts as required by Quality Inspection Instructions or supervisor's direction.
• Accurately record and report production, quality, and inventory information.
• Accurately label and/or tag parts and baskets.
• Operate Progressive or Transfer Press machinery.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose production run issues.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
