About The Position

Operates machine and instructs line help to safely meet production, customer, and company goals and requirements. Supports company Core Values, participates in a Safe Work environment, and completes observations. Inspects equipment for safety. Reads and understands a production order. Meets company productivity requirements and company and customer quality requirements. Uses forklift, crane, and manual handling of materials, completing proper documentation for materials produced. Good communication with Team, Supervisor, and Management. Maintain promotability to Operator II and Operator III. Standing and walking 8 to 12 hours everyday. Varying and extreme working conditions outside (Hot, Cold, Rain, Shine).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years production and/or shipping experience, preferably in the metals/materials industry
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

  • Meet company and customer quality requirements
  • Use forklift, crane, and manual handling of materials, complete proper documentation for materials produced
  • Good communication with Team, Supervisor, and Management
  • Maintain promotability to Operator II and Operator III
  • Standing and walking 8 to 12 hours everyday
  • Varying and extreme working conditions outside (Hot, Cold, Rain, Shine)
  • Execute assignments as given by the Supervisor or Group Leader
  • Immediately inform supervision of all equipment, process, material, safety, and quality concerns
  • Follow all work instructions, policies, work rules, safety guidelines, and work procedures
  • Training other team members as assigned
  • Participate in daily housekeeping of assigned areas and other cleanup efforts as assigned
  • Participate in problem solving, continuous improvement, and customer complaint resolution efforts
  • Read and understand product blueprints and technical data sheets as required
  • Perform basic preventative equipment maintenance as assigned
  • Accept reassignment to other departments as workload dictate
