Requirements

  • Ability to read a measuring tape, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (green sheets).
  • Ability to accurately identify the correct tooling needed, determine cut length, and program the bender with measurements to run the part.
  • Ability to identify sizes and numbers.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately set up, program, and operate machines while producing products according to blueprints and work order specifications.
  • Accurately measure of product using various tools and methods.
  • Works safely and supports safety within their team and across the organization.
  • Effectively operate the End Former, Small Bender, Large Bender, and Hole Punch.
  • Accurate set up and program machine with specifications of product information.
  • Accurate reading of all measurements.
  • Routine service of machines.
  • Produce quality product while maintaining customer, and production standards.
  • Ensure correct tools are used to operate machine.
  • Inspect all work to ensure it meets specifications.
  • Perform any other job responsibilities directed by management as business dictates.
  • Participates in safety and skill training, and demonstrates a high regard for safety at all times.
  • Attends team meetings.
  • Utilizes lean tools: 6s, visual factory concepts in maintaining order, cleanliness and safe work environment.
  • Maintain a safe work area by working safely, following safety guidelines, and wearing required personal protective equipment.
